The GE 60 Amp GFI Spa Panel is a metal load center, intended for outdoor use with spas, hot tubs, water heaters and swimming pools. The GFI disconnect provides a. Cheaply made junk. Agree with the comments in other reviews about the contacts, they should have been made of springy- er metal. But the worst part is that I went to unscrew it and the threads, being made too thin and soft, sheared right off the plastic (see picture, damage is from trying to get the piece out of the socket). Cheaply made junk; wish the store would carry the nicer Halo porcelain one. Not sure if they're unscrewing them often, but I'm using mine to lower down four LED bulbs in recessed lighting housings, and I dont anticipate having to disturb them for years to come. Mine do exactly what I need them to do - all 4 worked just fine for me the first time I used them, and I cant see anything happening to cause them not to work. If I try to unscrew them often then maybe, but with the LED's I shouldnt have to touch them for years. One failed within a year. Thought the bulb burned out, but the metal contacts would not reliably carry the current to the bulb. Bent the metal contacts to try to improve contact with the bulb, but measurement with a multimeter showed no current flow at various spots on the contacts. Cleaning with Deox. IT contact cleaner did not fix the problem. Like other reviewers have noted, their is a manufacturing defect with the copper contacts. Mine worked when I screwed my first bulb in, but when I took it out and put it back in, there was no power delivered through the socket. Had to get a pair of scissor and pull the metal contacts on the side of the socket away from the edge so that they actually contact the bulb. That is right folks, a month has gone by with a 3. Maybe the quality issues have been addressed.
